I don't have any stories myself (cheated once, didn't get caught, would never do it again), but I heard a pretty crazy story from a friend (happened to his friend last week).

his friend told his coworkers that he became a father. everyone was pretty excited and happy for him, and eventually, word got around to HR... as is policy at the guy's company, HR sends the wife flowers to congratulate the couple. only problem? the baby momma wasn't his wife. turned out that he had the kid with a girl he'd been cheating on his wife with, and the wife had no idea that the guy just had a kid until the flowers came to the house.

True story. In freshman year, my EE intro class uses the same homework every semester. The answer key is passed out after the homework is turned in. However, if you knew someone who took the class the previous semester, you could simply copy the answers. On one homework assignment, I accidentally stapled the answer key to my homework when I turned it in.

One of my EE classes just failed a handful of kids and reported them to the dean because they were caught cheating.

That's when you walk out of class and straight to the registrar to drop the course.

Psh, the registrar is just a server in a closet somewhere.

I don't cheat at anything meaningful. Tests and relationships are both meaningful, albeit in completely different ways. Homework on the other hand...

I agree that test's are meaningful...but relationships??? Pfft....they're a dime a dozen.

Well when it comes to home works there is one expression we like to use over here in the college of engineering, example of application:

Mike: Hey Sam can I copy that homework? I didn't have time yesterday!
Sam: And why should I let you copy my home work?
Mike: Well ... sharing is caring you know ;)
Sam: Oh your right.
Mike: Thanks for the home work.
Sam: No problem. Oh BTW, can I see your code for the second assignment ;) ;)

I cheat on math homework because its so boring. I cheated on one of my science tests but it was only inclass. My teachers arnt very bright or dont care so i get away with a lot of stuff.

Haven't been caught cheating for quite a long time. I don't cheat on tests and exams.

The "I don't cheat on homework" answers in this thread make me chuckle for two reasons. One, many apparently skipped reading the OP. Two, it shows the age of most of the posters.

(And I never cheated on school stuff either. Nor did I in the way the question was intended by the OP.)

Mine have been very rewarding. I don't give of myself lightly, and when I do it's fully invested. I wonder why anyone would do anything less.

Mor cleary of the five relationships I've had all were meaningful, evne he hookups were emotionally rewarding.

I have never cheated and would never cheat, but I have a good story to tell (sorry it's so long).

I heard this on the radio several years ago. It might have been after the fact, but either way it's still crazy. Some coworkers knew this guy was cheating on his wife with a girl in another city that he was frequently sent to for work. The coworkers told some radio talk-show hosts in that city about it, so they set the guy up. They first called his girlfriend, asked her to indulge about their relationship (she thought it was a very serious one), and said they were going to call her man and give him some flowers to send to her. They called him up while she was still on the line, but she wasn't supposed to say anything. They said he had won some flowers, and they just needed to know who to send them to. He says, "Send them to my wife Cindy." The girlfriend then gets hysterical and says "YOUR WIFE CINDY!?" and many colorful metaphors followed.

It was entertaining and terrible all at the same time. At least she knew the truth, but what a way to find out!

I haven't cheated in a relationship. I cheated my way through high school because it was all redundant, worthless information that I knew anyways. Oddly enough I never have had the urge to cheat in college, even though it was almost a natural reaction in high school for me to write difficult test answers on my hand.

Can't remember ever getting caught.. I'm just that damned good.

during college, I found the professor's web site for the previous class with all the answers. So I copy the whole way through, except the last assignment was just a tad bit difference. professor caught on, I caught some crazy hell from the school, but that sure gave me the kick in the ass I need to take school more seriously. I'm glad I got caught actually.

basically agree. i mean sure you think should i or shouldn't i? but i mean in the end i just never did because i did choose to go to college and i want to see if i do know the stuff.

about the main topic on cheating, no, never. i wouldn't either. as a previous poster stated, i'm committing myself to the relationship and it's gonna be something meaningful. if i see it's not going to work out, it ends with that, not by adding people to the problem
