EVE is extremely complex and simple at the same time. No other game is as immersive as this one, in my opinion. Unfortunately, it is just one big grind for most people. I just can't do MMO's, grinding isn't fun. Warhammer was the closest thing I came to fun in an MMO.

this is why i said if i even had 1 person in that eve thread helping me when i started, it could of probably ended up being fun... lol...

But the fact that i tried to go at it alone... didnt understand anything... tried to understand it but got lost even more because i didnt pick the easy area to understand fist....

It totally killed it for me... :D

Its like you been driving a remote controlled car.... and then someone gives u a key to a Indy F1...
After you put in the key and the car wont start... so your pushing the gas randomly... turning the wheel, looking at the gauge going WTF??
(because no one told u its a push button start)

^i felt like that....

Dragon Age 2 comes to mind. Not that it's really that bad a game in itself, just not in the same legue as DA:O, not in gameplay and certainly not storywise. However, back to the point; DA2 was truly unrewarding for someone like me hoping for at least a slight continuation of the major cliffhangers from DA:O/Witch Hunt.

Planetside - Battle Frame Robotics (BFRs)
When they were first released, they were completely overpowered. One person could dictate the tide of a battle just by driving these mechs into the warzone. After about a month (once everyone was 'attuned') it seemed you couldn't hack a base without seeing 4 or 5 show up. It got so revolting that during an ops night, one that I had organized and lead, I yelled into Teamspeak something along the lines of, "Fuck this piece of shit game. I'm done." I posted on my outfit boards I was in the process of uninstalling the game. Which I did. I revisited the game about a year later when we decided to go back to Auraxis for a month or so. They had JUST begun to nerf the BFRs then. I sighed and gave up on the game after that.

Until this year that is with the news of Planetside2 coming out and NO BFRs! You couldn't find a happier man when I saw that twitter feed come over.

Shattered Horizon comes to mind among a few others...

logged in, floated around menacingly for 10 minutes looking for something to do then logged out and never loaded it again.
