Back in the late 70's or early 80's my brother and a buddy of his were out riding there motorcycles, back before they owned Harleys, in central Florida and couldn't find any stores to buy beer. They happened upon a bar and went in to buy a six-pack, which you could do back then so long as you didn't open any.

Anyway, the place is one of those weird Florida places that have a dual personality -- during the week it's a country bar with locals, but on the weekend it becomes a 1% biker bar. So my brother and his friend ride up on the Japanese bikes and when his buddy Frank goes up to the bar to buy the beer my brother stops by the Jukebox to kill some time. He happens to notice a song he thinks the leather clad bikers type would appreciate so he drops his quarters and makes his selection.

They head for the door as Helen Reddy's "I am Woman" starts out. Frank yells at my brother "why did you play that -- you could have gotten us killed!!!" They take off quickly and when they get to the place they were going my brother finally tells him that he played the song 5 times!!!

Truly, they deserved to die for that!

He he, I've done the same thing more or less.

Was this song, I actually hung out in the bar a bit after starting it and was after it played a bit till some guys from Pinellas lock up went up and actually turned it off.

I was grinning a bit, and just left after.

I'm surprised they actually had it on the juke box, "I even actually announced "You want to hear a good song"

Heh, surprised I'm still alive some days lately.

And no I'm not gay but the reaction was something to behold.

That was in the 90's though, a friend of mine looked at me like wtf did you just do :)

I just grinned and was like watch this shit.
