gas gangrene-->rotting human flesh.....you never get used to it

As a nurse, I'm pretty much inured to biological odors, but infected diabetic ulcers are tough...

The last place I worked had a very small office with a single bathroom. Often, the president would walk from his office to the main bathroom and drop a bomb so bad that it would stink the whole office up. Then he would walk back to his office with the biggest smirk on his face and then close his office door. I always wanted to say something.

I work in a cosmetic factory and The stench of all the perfumes and what not they make is so overpowering that I can barely stand to go to the production floor.

I share your pain 🙁

As our office is so small, with only a door separating the office from each of the toilets, I also get the soundtrack of anything going down.

/me asks Father Xmas for a fvck-off pair of earmuffs

Even though the smells you smell are bad, be happy to smell. You will sooner or later in the day smell something good.

I was born without it and I wish I could smell for one day. 🙁

Life goes on. 🙂

Diesel fumes. I have to pass a few hundred trucks on the road to get to work. (For those in So. Cal, mainly Hwy 60 between 15 and 57, then 605 south)

Your nose is deaf? Or would that be blind? 😛

I always wondered why there wasn't a common term for no sense of smell. No sight, blind. No hearing, deaf. No sense of smell, nada... actually there is a term, anosmia, but it's not a common word.

/end tangent thought

Perhaps....oh, I don't know...it's not that common of a condition?

I'd be willing to bet there are many many more blind/deaf people than people suffering from anosmia
