For your consideration:

The Hansens:

Erin:

Magnus:

Parents of Annika:
Annika_Hansen,_2356.jpg

Why they suck:
Decide to research the Borg.... in the wild..... with their 5 year old daughter.

End result:
7 of 9
320x240.jpg

Family Borg'd

Next the Jordens:

Russ:

Anne:

Parents of
Timmy and Rebecca (aka Newt):

Why they suck:
Took their two kids to go check out some coordinates provided by a suit back on earth.

End result:

Newt crushed in impact - Alien3
Family presumed impregnated and killed

So who's worse? Or do you have your own stupid Sci-fi family.

I'll see your Hansens and raise you Icheb's parents who turned their child into a biological weapon and sent him off to die....twice.

Well, the pair from Honey I Shrunk The Kids didn't exactly cover themselves in glory.

Anakin Skywalker's dad. (Yes, I know, that's kind of my point.)

How much Fantasy are we allowed in our Sci Fi? Because what happened to all the parents in Buffy The Vampire Slayer?

Captain Kirk was a pretty shitty absentee father. And Gul Dukat.

I kind of question Superman's parents. I mean, I understand it's a Jewish Jesus so emulating the Moses story is important, but they should have emigrated as a family, imo.

Tom Swift had entirely too many adventures.

How long was Boo missing in Monsters, Inc.?

I have a fair amount of disregard for Lex Luthor's parents... and him as a father, too. (I mean, really? Transplanting your brain into your own son so you don't die? Fuck you, dad.)

What do you mean by that? I've always known Superman has a LOT of parallels with the story of Jesus, intentionally I'm sure, but what do you mean when you call it a Jewish Jesus?

Also, Jesus was Jewish, so isn't Jewish Jesus like a double negative? lol

The two guys who created the character were Jews, and they drew from that. (Kal-El means "voice of god," for instance)

Most of it is well documented... lessee...

*googles*

Ah, here we go.

As much fantasy as you want!

Looks interesting. I'm going to need some links for some of these.

Dr.Crusher. Her parenting transformed a small innocent boy into Wesley Crusher.

I don't understand. Is Worf the kid's parent or not?

George and Jane Jetson, without a doubt. Letting Elroy do science experiments in a huge apartment complex; he coulda blown up and/or melted thousands of people. And Judy, letting her go out un-chaperoned with some geeky guy who might take her to Mars or Jupiter for wild sex parties with tentacled aliens.

Not to mention poor Astro, never got a real walk, just a treadmill hanging off the outside of the building. If I were their neighbors I'd call the ASPC-fricking-A on 'em.
