Interesting. I wonder how the chart would look with the addition of Johnson, Nixon and Ford?

Who ever said Bush was the worst? And popularity doesn't determine rightness. All that shows is there are too many sheep who believe Bush's deception.

Notice, though, the sharp declines post 9/11 and post war on Iraq.

Didn't note the second link at first. Thanks.

Whoa, Nixon got hammered. Looks like old Ike remained fairly resilient during his term - give or take a couple bumps.

Additionally, it seems as if GWB hasn't sank much below the "magical" 50 % threshold, according to the chart. Polarization, maybe?

Bush was not elected President. He was selected.

What people think is true has nothing to do with what is true. The truth doesn't give a fig what you think.

Bush has done incalculable damage to our nation. It will take decades for that damage to work it's effects. Bush is a tremendous disaster.

You read these boards a lot. You should know that people claim it all the time.

Bush was elected. We had an election, Bush came out on top. END OF DISCUSSION. Unless, after all this time, you finally have difinative proof (not some liberal newspaper that did their own recount, but REAL proof) that Gore actually won the election, SHUT UP ABOUT IT ALREADY.

Interesting to note the negative trend in Bush's term. Events like 9/11 and Iraq war prop him up to artificial highs which are quickly dissolved. On the other hand, Clinton has a steady positive trend during his term. :D

When the topic of best President ever has come up, almost always Nixon is the winner even amongst the liberals I'm surrounded by. They say everybody was working when he was President and times were good. *shrug*

Looks like Bush got bumps from 9/11 and the Iraq war, but otherwise it's all downhill.
If it wasn't for those two, he would be in the gutter.

If it wasn't for Vietnam an Watergate, Nixon would have been in the stratosphere.
If it wasn't for Iran hostages, Carter would have been floating
etc.

Most of us live in the real world.

Not only do you misuse the term, you rely on stereotypes.

Leave it to Moonie to utter that paradox. If the damage is "incalculable", then how did you calculate the "decades" it would take to work its effects? Which formulae were used in arriving at this conclusion? Give me a few specifics if you would........

Quick, Iozina, tell this guy he's stereotyping.

And don't forget to jump on the next guy using the term fundamentalist as well, Fenix, since you're a paragon of unilateralism. Kthx.
