worst nightmare almost came true

Worst nightmare is showing up for my exams and no one is there.

Well, i was studying till like 6 AM in the morning for my class. I woke up at 9 to to get ready for my exam, got there at 9:50 AM and no one was there. I was like, oh $hit, the exam was suppose to be at 10:05 but it's not. I check the time again and it's at 1:05 PM.

sounds like you need some sleep if you misread 1:05 as 10:05. That kind of mistake could cause major problems on your final

I did something similar to that. I thought that the exam was at 5:00 pm and it was really at 4:00. I got there around 4:45 and the place was empty. I thought I was early so I just sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. I pulled out my folder, looked at the syllabus and noticed that it said 4. I was so mad at myself. I got to take the test at a later time though. I told the teacher the truth and she let me take it.

Well, it wasn't a final exam. It was just a regular exam. It was for an easy sociology course so I'm not suprised that it was a short test. Only took me 15 min. to finish it.

All of my programming tests with a certain teacher are like that. He says he doesn't want to write or grade a big test, and he figures we don't want to take a big test, so it works out.

That happened to me in a genetics class in college. I wrote down the wrong time on my calendar at the beginning of the term and then managed to lose the syllabus. As I was cramming for the final exam, I found the damned syllabus and realized that the test had been over for a couple hours. I RAN to the professor's office and told him what happened. My heart was pounding. He said, no big deal, just take the class next term and just show up for the final. He said he'd make it work out so I didn't have to do anything else. I burst into tears and told him that I had to take the next term off to work because I didn't have enough money to cover tuition, and he changed his mind and found a TA to watch over me while I took the final. WHEW!

I've done that... went to the wrong room. We had all the exams in the same room (which wasn't the normal classroom either), then for the final exam, it was in a completely different building. I went there, and it was completely empty. I knew something was fishy when you have a class of 300 and and not a single person is early. Thankfully i was there about 15 mins early and made it to the proper location in time.

one time i showed up to a 8am final at 7am. it was just me and this other guy...when 8:05 came around and nobody else was there i looked at my watch again and realized it was 7:05!!!!!!!!!!! that's what happens when u stay up all night studying!!!

I missed a final by a DAY - campus was pretty much shut down, being the last day of finals week, and I had a complete and utter panic attack because this was literally my worst nightmare come true. I had to leave to drive to San Diego - an eight hour drive - within the hour, and couldn't find the prof. I wound up in the counselor's office for the major, who told me to take off and they'd have the prof call. He let me make up the final a week later, but made it short answer instead of multiple choice and dropped me a grade in the class as a penalty. I was just so glad he didn't completely fail me.

seems like i'm not the only one with this nightmare.
