And therefore paid for admittance? In my case it's King Kong Lives. That movie was sooooooooo bad and not in a good way. The scene where Kong rips the roof of an ICBM silo off and the scene with the rednecks in the canyon...

Probably Wild Wild West. Oh damn, I forgot Spider-Man 3. Oh, and Matrix Reloaded. Actually I've seen plenty that are probably as bad as those 3, but I actually enjoyed them a little.

Ouch, just had another one, Envy.

I actually thought about this recently. I love Netflix Instant Play precisely for this reason. If its that bad of a movie, I just go and watch a different one, requires little to no effort and saves me time and money wasted on a movie I hate. I don't know why, but regardless of how bad, if I rent/buy the movie or go see it, I have to sit through it. I have never walked out of a movie in the theaters.

Oh fuck, just remembered IJatKotCS.

I've seen my share of bad movies in theatres. I think the winner is Date Movie, followed by The Family Man with Nicholas Cage.

Can't remember. The only movie I remember walking out on is Robin Williams' What Dreams may Come. But that was more because I was pissed off about something else at the time.

Worst recent film would be Terminator Salvation.

Open Water.

The stupidest crap ever. luckily it was a free screening. People booed it. The studio was there taking people's opinion. the guy didn't look too happy.

Crime Zone
A 1988 movie staring David Carradine and Sherilyn Fenn of Twin Peaks fame.

Some people walked out, have no idea why I didn't. Guess it was because I was poor and didn't want to see my $5 go to waste.

Oh my God, I remember that. I saw that one on a long bus ride from Pacasmayo to Lima, it was so effing bad I was seriously rooting for the sharks after about half an hour. I mean I like seeing the good guys lose sometimes, cuz that's life, but the whole movie was floating around in the ocean waiting to die! How could anyone think that is even remotely entertaining?

edit: Honorable mentions go to Transformers 2 and GI Joe. The first one because, in the words of RottenTomatoes, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a noisy, underplotted, and overlong special effects extravaganza that lacks a human touch." And the second one because it insulted my intelligence; it was like the plot sat on a drawing board and someone said "let's make it bigger!" so they aerated and stretched it out to double its size. Also the entire action packed ending was a rip off of Star Wars in various ways.

Recently? It HAS to be Miracle at St. Anna.

It's one of the most poorly-written, hackneyed, clicheed, contrived, reaching, and racist movies ever made. It's racist in that Spike Lee beats the audience over the head with messages for black people, but then flat-out insults the viewer by treating them as though they've got an IQ of 40. As though his audience is too stupid to understand subtlety.

Wow, I'm not even black and I'm still offended...

Probably Titanic.

So many people told me it was great I started to believe them. Same thing for Independence day.

Phantom Menace.

Though that's out of the <20 movies I've seen in theaters.
No rewind, expensive snacks, uncomfortable chairs, way too loud, too dark, too many people, and too many noisy people. DVDs at home = :).

Batman and Robin. I actually forced myself to go to sleep while watching that movie. Couldn't leave because of the girl with me.

Driven. First twenty minutes wasn't bad. Then it went bad, to worse, then on to uncharted territory of stupidity. Some of the worse CG ever. And the star girl of the film, had a gut.

Matrix Regurgitated. Horrible. I mean, really. Did I want to go to a rave when I saw the film? No, I wanted to see a movie. I didn't want to see Neo's butt either. I really thought they would throw in Carrie Ann Moss' butt...but no.
