I got a ton of emails trying to sell me gifts for Mothers Day, as I glanced thru them some were just God awful and made me wonder who the hell would buy these for their mom. One of the most odd ones was an Earring that had a USB Flash drive attached. Now I know some mothers who are fairly techie but I can't see any woman walking around with a big, ugly flash drive danging from their ear.

My dad knows a guy that got his wife a lawn tractor. Apparently it was her mothers day and birthday gift.

My parents gave my 90 YEAR OLD grandmother an LCD tv.

Good gift, but my grandmother doesn't even know how to use a remote. She has a tv that still has dials...

Edit: Oh, she also doesn't even have cable, she uses rabbit ears and wasn't aware she would need a converter box. Minor detail.

For mother's day, my cousin's husband and his two brothers gave their mother "Deep Throat." I'm not even joking. Apparently their father had just seen Borat and was running around the house yelling High Five!

I bought my mom a vacuum cleaner.

j/k, well I sorta did, because I accidentally broke her other, but it was not a mother's day gift. I should of told her it was just to see her face, before I give her card.

is the LCD so old as to actually need a converter box for OTA? that's rather odd...

Maybe you should teach her.

I have found amazing things happen with family bonds when you teach someone how to do something new. it reconnects them with you and society and makes them feel more relevant.

I think that would be a good post-Mother's day gift.
