Sorry i don't have a pic of it but ive been scouring the internet for the past 2 hours trying to find one and finnaly gave up

but the m3 was lowered to the ground with about 1-2 inches of clearance a racing spoiler on the back(ya know those ones with the tiny metal bars holding it on and huge slanting piece of metal for the spoiler)
it had the blower sticking outa teh hood and had BMP and Graffix racing stuff all over it
and it had these little thigns that looked like fins sticking out of the front under the lights that kidna looked like

\_|Car|_/ <---fin thingy about 3 or so inches big

i followed the guy around for like 10 minutes laughing at the car (although it would kick my ass) then a friend from school with a forumla firebird drove up and i was just waiting for them to race but they never did (i was disapointed)

depends the 98 or earlier is like 246 240 something like that
(im lazy i don't feel like looking it up)

but the current m3 is an I6 3.2 L 333 hp (european ver is 343 hp) torque of 262 but keep in mind it has a flat torque line (meaning that it has same torque at any rpm unlike most cars that only have a said torque peaking at a certain rpm)

IMO bmw m3 is perfection ...as my friend (whose dad owns an m3) said today "why mess with perfection"

you say 394 horses as if it means something special... I can get 400 horses out of a 351 windsor with no serious modifications at around 5,000. the m5 can suck my wang. the only decent beamer is the one sitting in me d way.. a v12 coupe, guess?

but urs handles like CRAPO!
even though bmw is RWD it handles better than even some AWD cars

and u don't have a flat torque line now do you....so u would not be pulling constantly like m4d =)

uh
muscle cars aren't driven for their handling my friend. It's a matter of how often i can get from point A to B in 11 seconds.

One of my friends put cow pattern (think Gateway Country) seat covers in his M3. It was horrible.

Though remember lowfat, he did say that he has a BMW 850. I wouldn't necessarily say that handles like crud.

comparing american cars to japanese cars in an objective fashion is pretty hard to do. some people want to be able to take a right turn at 80 mph, some people want to run a quarter mile in 10 seconds. it's all about how you weigh it, what you like more, and probably most influential, what your friends drive.

anyone been able to see fast and furious yet?

I wouldn't say an M3 is perfection - if it had Supercar-like HP figures, then it'd be perfect (I say bang that M5 V8 out to 450HP and drop it into the M3 and I'll call that M3 a work of art, for now it's just a really really nice car) Of course, the price would be outrageous :)

The M series BMW cars m3 and m5 are my favorite cars in the world. Screw the z3 and z8 btw.

the point is for 5 thousand the engine is complete. Another 3500-5000 for a decent shell preferably without a brain, and I could put that m5 to shame.

I'd bet it wasn't a real M3 but a regular 3-series with one of those fake "M3 conversion" kits with fake badges and all that.

pretty sure it was an m3 ive been lusting over those things for ever

quad exhaust front and back looked like the m3 (ican tell diff btwn m3 and 3 series)

and i don't drive what my friends drive most my friends drive muscle cars they can beat me on straight aways and i can beat them on curvey roads....sooo

although i do paticularly like the look of my friends 1968 mustang gt =) its yellow and oh so nice looking

i really like old muslce cars for their looks and some for engines etc but don't really respect new muscle cars but thats just me

yeah, BMP has a racecar just like that!

i followed the guy around for like 10 minutes laughing at the car (although it would kick my ass) then a friend from school with a forumla firebird drove up and i was just waiting for them to race but they never did (i was disapointed)

plus, that makes me think more that it IS the BMP's race car. most racecar owners are mature enough to realize that stoplight racing is dumb.
