anyone burn a cd at 1/4 speed that its supposed to be read or write at?

Nothing an Adaptec 39160 and a couple Cheetah X15's, or equivelent wont take care of.

I seem to be getting good transfer rates myself and when Im supposed to burn at 8x it actually does burn at 8x..... Do you have the latest VIA Highpoint drivers? As well as the latest VIa 4in1s????

I'm burning at 4x no problem at all here.

Look into the VIA 4-in-1's, they made a difference for me.
