My parents typically give my wife and I around ~$150 worth of gifts each. This year we got a candle and a wood bowl. It was weird. My sister and her fiance got a "normal" amount of gifts from them so I don't get it.

I'm not going to complain but it's just strange.
 
My furnace died on christmas a couple years ago, fiencee's cat died that day. At the time, we had not moved in together .. so I called her upset that It was gonna run me $300+ for a flame sensor and igniter, $50 or so of parts that I could just as easily screw in as the service tech ... And she was crying because her cat was not breathing well and she was going with her mom to the emergency vet.

So, this Christmas was way better, we didnt get any good shit, but, we ate well, and nobody died.

My brother in law drank like 1/4 of a handle of Jameson ... I usually keep a bottle on hand at home for whisky drinkers ....

We bought for him a bottle of "Fighting Cock" Bourbon when we were in the south. I shoulda just got him Jameson ... sheesh

AND i ran out of shampoo today. had to wash myself with handwash.

I give people with dirty hair shampoo for Christmas. Perhaps, one should take the hint.


And, you think you had a shitty Christmas? I gave people gifts and didn't get near as much in value in return!

I got tonsillitis from the flu virus. I dehydrated. Make sure he drinks a lot of water...like 2- 3 L minimum and a few Gaterades a day.
