Worst cell phone company

Pick your worst cell phone company. Or if you think the one your are using now is good and recommendable, please tell us too.

I use <U>Cingular</U>, and I definitely hate them. Bad customer service, well, I mean extremely BAD.

I use verizon and their customer service has been good. Their tech support is subpar but I haven't needed help but once and they were not able to fix my problem. I had to find a solution on the internet.

Alltel, the local phone company is the worst business I've ever seen. They had been under investigation from the city, but their price was so low on a cell phone that I signed up anyways. But:
1) Multiple incorrect overchargings, each coming with its own late fee and interest (so far 5 incorrect bills out of 10).
2) Minimum 1 hour waiting if you call for support (and I've tried many times of the day).
3) Still after 6 complaints the voice mail won't work properly.
4) Incompetant workers who are unable/do not have the authority to fix the problems listed above.
5) As I stand in line to see them in person, I find over a dozen others with the exact same problems that have been ongoing for months.
6) Incorrect taxation.
7) Etc.

I'm surprised to see more votes for AT&T over Sprint. That's what I was going to switch to- can someone share why they don't like AT&T?

Sprint sucks because of just bad service (meaning no signal, dropped calls, etc). When I call to complain, they are usually nice, and I only had problems with my bills early on. Regardless, using my cell phone is a hassle because I can never get a good signal.

edit: ok, now there is more for sprint. I still want to know about the haters on AT&T.

In the Southern California, I've been really happy with AT&T compared to my experiences with Cingular and Sprint. No drop calls, busy signal, and cause of this I really haven't had to use their customer service.

AllTel BLOWS! My GF has it and she has been overcharge/mischarged so many times it is not funny. Sprint is right up there for me too.

Sprint sucks gigantic swollen donkey phalluses.
Their reception sucks (Dropped calls around 30%), random no-service areas
Their in-store service sucks (CSRs are pretty unknowledgeable and unhelpful, stores ALWAYS overcrowded)
Their phone support sucks (Wait of 20+ minutes to get a CSR)
Their warranty support is abysmal (don't get me started)

I hate Sprint.

I've found Cingular to be quite good - the CS ppl are nice, and coverage is excellent. Of course, this is gonna vary widely based on where you are, since they are all different markets..

4. Alltell
5. USCellular
6. Powertel/Voicestream/Tmobile

Now im on sprint. So far so good and i love my Sanyo 5300

I've never been a customer of theirs but the horror stories are all to common to ignore.

Verizon isn't very good in my area. They have never messed up my bill, but both of my friends have received outrageous bills several times, and they were not because of being over, Verizon just had them screwed up.

We didn't have digital until about a year ago, they had been promising that we would be "going digital soon" for the past 3-4 years.
