OK to make a long story short, a friend of mine has his ASUS DDR mobo plugged in(forcibly) with a normal SDRAM.
PC wont boot of course, but i want to ask you good friends of AT, whats the worst that can happen?

Right now, they can not revive the PC (duh!) even after unplugging the SDRAM, but is the mobo a goner as well?

Or is there a glimmer of hope here?

LMK and thanks in advance!

What an idiot! He probably fried the RAM slots which makes the MB usless and also killed the RAM itself.

Oppsy! :Q I'm pretty sure the mobo is gone. If not then it should work when you put in the correct RAM.

well update of sorts.
Well the SDRAM is toast.
The motherboard seems to be done as well.

All other components(AGP card, CPU, soundcard and firewire card are working) as well as the other DDR RAM right next to the one where DDR was forcibly placed. Isnt this strange, since the RAM slot was shorted, it should have shorted the RAM as well, right?

Thanks for the tips guys!
