Im havins the same problem with my Mobo. The pro is that i didnt realize when the fan stoped. Ive been having some video problems recently (lines across vdeos, windows logo on the POST screen with lines, distorted 3d graphics) thats when i doscovered my pro.....

1)i want to know wich is the best option for replacing the fan. Due to the position of the NB is kind of difficult to choose one.... I have a pci E video card
2)could this problem of the NB be the cause of my video problem????

And about the core center. as i remember i used to see the fan speed. As the fan isnt working now its 0 but in the temp part i just see a N/A.. Why????

By the time i get a replacement i took one of my thermaltake armor case fan and put it to blow some air directly to the NB but not sure if it would help....

Sorry for my english................... Me from Dominican Republic.. Hope u understand

Well, if the fan was off and it heated up, chances are the damage has been done. As for a replacement(assuming the chipset isn't fried), I would go with a Crystal Orb.

Might not be fried, but could be damaged. Once it cooled off did it seem to function properly?

If the mobo is still under warranty get the whole mobo replaced, yeah you'll have some downtime but that way you don't have to mess with a potentiallly damaged chipset. If it isn't anymore, that cooler that ColemontHD suggested sounds good.

And don't worry about your english, it is very readable 🙂

should i turn this pc off till i get the replacement for the fan??? i took one from my case and put it directly to the northbridge but im not sure if that would help..
