Hi.

When I go into BIOS, and into the VGA sub category, it says "VGA graphics accelerator is not guaranteed to operate normally" in red.

I was wondering if this was there by default or if there is really a problem.

I've honestly never seen a message like that before.

What mobo is it?

BTW, welcome to Anandtech!

Sorry i dont know what you mean by onboard video. But the main reason im concerned about this is because my video card heats up alot when i play games on highest quality, more than i expected. IT may be due to having an old case with no other cooling but a CPU cooler.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 and the VGA card is a Geforce 7900 GT by XFX

By on board video i meant is the video card integrated into the motherboard, but its not by the sounds of it.

It may be a warning suggesting if you screw around with these settings in this menu your video may not function correctly. You could try resetting the BIOS to factory defaults to see if the problem persists.

As long as your PSU is up to the job and the card works i would not worry about it. I would also get some decent cooling just to be safe, your stuff will last longer.

^Yeah no doubt about the cooling, im getting the Cooler Master stacker 830 soon.

Its the sexiest case out there imo.

As for the PSU, i assume it supports the card as i can play games with no problems. Although the PSU does get extremely hot.

Google for 'coolbit' then download/install it.
Closely monitor the video card gpu and repost here with your temps.

"Although the PSU does get extremely hot."

something is seriously wrong with your psu?
Post the rest of the system spec here.
