I got a 6800 on my computer. I have a 295 Watt PSU but some people told me that I have a goo sign on the 12V rail. Anyway im worried about it and I also have my video card power hooked up with the hard drive power also i ran out of cords. I tried to split the power with my hard drive and CD drive then have a seperate power supply for my video card but the cords wont come out where they are plugged in and I dont want to break them. I am also about to put in another 512MB slot of RAM will the Ram draw a lot of power. There have been no problems yet.
This is what my PSU says
5v 28A Max
3.3V 13A Max
12V 17A Max
12VSP 1.2A Max LSP Output
AUX 5VB 1.8A Max
12V 12VSP Total 209W Max
5V 3.3 Total 165W Max
PC Output Total 295.4W Max
I know I have made another post about this but it kind of got old and back on the list of posts but im kind of worried.
I was thinking that if my power supply blew (IM still under warrenty) i could put in my old video card then take it to the best buy people and tell them it broke. Would that work becuase I think the warrenty is void if i modify it but I dont know that.
