Hi,

I thoght this may be a good question for the ATOT collective.

Background: I am 26, live in a medium-sized U.S. city, and do well in my career as a sales rep, selling Enterprise IT HW/SW. We just bought a nice home, and I feel that I've worked hard to get where I am and can comfortably support both of us if need be (she is awaiting her work visa as she moved here from Canada).

My fiancee daydreams of us picking up and moving to Europe. She feels sales is international and I could find a position with a company seeking a strong English-speaking rep.

My question is, do you think there are there a lot of opportunities? To live in one of the large cities she's thinking of, I think we'd have to be making the equivalent of $300-400k USD to maintain our current lifestyle. Obviously, these jobs are not just available to anyone. I'd probably have to get on with a company that works within the same area of my current company to have a shot at it, and be very heavily leveraged on a commission plan to make that kind of money (this is how I am accustomed here).

How would I go about finding something like this? Any advice?

Cliffs:
1. Live comfortably in the U.S. as a sales rep
2. Fiancee thinks we could move to Europe and I could do the same there
3. How?
4. ...
5. Profit?

Don't even try. I can tell by your post that you would be doomed to failure. Forget your dreams.
