Bump! Here's the (animated) video of the ride)

mms://streams.sixflags.com/KingDaka

edit: can't directly link it because the link automatically puts in http or ftp

Wasn't considering season passes, but now almost definitely will get them this year...
(season passes at Six Flags Darien Lake are $180 for a family of 4... cheaper than admission to Six Flags Great Adventure)
Wherever you get your season passes at, you have to go to that park first... but after that, you can go to any of the other Six Flags theme parks using that season pass. Just have to pay for parking at the other Six Flags. )here

im really not excited about those rides, i would much rather it be longer then 2 seconds

Just cut and paste the link in the previous post into your URL... works fine for me.

I agree.... the ride seems incredibly short.. Worth it for coaster enthusiasts just to say "I went on it."

But, you've gotta get to the park super early in the morning so you don't have to wait in line forever.
And, unfortunately, the new coaster means the park will probably be packed more than usual.

I remember Cedar Point, haven't been there in over a decade but I loved the Magnum 200... that was the big coaster back then.

o man, the magnum is TERRIBLE compared to the newer Millenium Force.

Its known as just Great Adventure around here.

Yeah...I remember when I first moved south...everyone would talk about Six Flags (the closest is in Atlanta)...I never had any idea the one in NJ was a Six Flags...I just called it Great Adventure. I also went to Action Park a lot when I was a kid...anyone know if that place is still around?

I live 20 minutes away and haven't been there in 12-15 years

I really don't like Great Adventure, too many New Yorkers. I'd rather go to a smaller park with less... New Yorkers. I'll definitely be going next year to ride this coaster if they have the buy one get one free coke cans again.

LOL. I was thinking the exact same sentence except replace "New Yorkers" with "punk-ass hoodlums." I didn't think they were from NY, I thought they were from Gloucester and Cumberland counties!

I love roller coasters, but I hate the trend for rapid acceleration right at the start. Too much physical pain to ride those repeatedly. I love the old fashioned rides: a slow climb to a high peak, then accelerate due to gravity. Tons of height, tons of speed, just without the horrible painful starting acceleration.
ride those repeatedly? In a full 12 hour theme park day, you could maybe ride a popular ride 4-6 times tops. At least around here that's how it is

Action Park rocked

I used to go there all the time...it was probably the most dangerous park in america 🙂

one time i went on a slide next to the cliff and no one told me it ended 15 feet above the water, unprepared i landed on my back...owww...it was red the rest of the day

plus the mini-motor boats you could go on rocked, my friend had a really slow one so i would just do laps and splash him till i ran into him almost knocking his over

i used to live an hour away from cedar point, one of my friends had a season pass and they went up there all the time over the summer, he rode it and said it was amazing, i'd of shitted my pants though, damn, no way i'd get on either of htem

go to a theme park right after a holiday.. short waits and near the end of the day... pretty much no wait at all

So this roller coaster is taller than the statue of liberty?
Damn, that's tall... should be fun though. I love rollercoasters 🙂

I agree, Action Park was great.
Dangerous? Okay, by any chance do you remember seeing a loop-de-loop water slide? It was right by one of the bumper boat areas and near the lockers for the water rides. They sent a dummy through it and it came out all mangled but they used to let people go on it when I was very little.

My favorite rides at Action Park was Surf Hill (ten lanes, you slide down on a mat and you hit a pool of water at the bottom) and the Alpine Slide (take the sky-lift up the mountain and you ride down in carts).
