My brother sent me this link. Looks pretty neat, although I don't know how practical it is. I can't see it being a viable self defense weapon. Maybe more of a toy like the toy cannons people build that can be fired.

Difference is this is actually a propellant powered weapon so it's indeed a firearm. But very, very tiny.
