If Sam Walton was still alive, he'd be worth over $100 billion now (instead, his heirs are splitting that).

If Sam Walton was still alive, the net worth wouldnt be the same. His kids do not run Wal Mart, a board of directors does. Its a ruthless board of directors. Sam Walton was a proponent of "made in america", when he was alive, Wal Mart mostly sold american made goods. Its likely Wal Mart wouldnt have grown to the size it is now if Sam was still alive. He pioneered alot of things, but since its been run by a board of directors, its taken things to a whole new level. Walton was not a proponent of what Wal Mart is currently doing.

lol. you noob. its been documented that made in america was a merketing ploy. the rule, was they preferred american made if the price difference was less than 5%. more than that and its job export/ sweat shop time.

Well, he's 77 years old.
Would you rather be BG or him?
Not to mention, MS stock has upward movement potential + strength of US $, BG will be back in no time.

Also, I bet they don't care since $1B is more than enough for any person.

I'm sure once ya get past a $1b or so its purely bragging rights

There's a difference between a country's wealth and personal wealth...the line gets blurry over there.

That's not it at all. There are many people that will not disclose their worth and I am sure Forbe's doesn't want to get involved with it.

The Forbes 500 is really a list of the second string of the richest esp when you consider those omitted: Her Royal Majesty Elizabeth - Queen of England (I think she is not there now at 250million, the crown treasure is around 15-20 billion), Her Royal Majesty Beatrix - Queen of the Netherlands (known as the wealthiest woman in the world), Her Royal Majesty Margaret the II - Queen of Denmark, Her Royal Majesty Sofia - Queen of Spain, Sir Muda Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzadin Waddaulah - The Sultan of Brunei, Darussalam, King Fahd - Monarch of Saudi Arabia, Emir Shaikh Jabir al-Ahmad al-Jabir as-Sabah - King of Kuwait, Sultan Qabus bin Said - King of Oman, Emir & Prime Minister Khalifah ibn Hamad ath-Thani - King of Qatar, President Zaid ibn Sultan an-Nahayan - Ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Haydar Abu Bakr-al Attas - Prime Minister of Yemen, Amir isa bin Sulman al-Khalifa - King of Bahrain, the House of Rothschild (starter of most of the world's banks), the Wallenberg interests, the Warburg interests, the Schiff interests, or many others that aren't listed at all though have massive empires.
