One Hundred and Fourteen years old. God bless her. HOW did she do it? Read:

Matos, 64, said he thinks her longevity stemmed from her having "a very easy life -- easy in the sense that she didn't have too much to worry about."

Her husband was a bank manager in the 1940s and '50s who passed away in the 1970s, Matos said. They never had any children and lived peacefully, he said.

There you have it. AS I'VE SAID all along: "Children are evil. Like cats." :D

I win.

tornados, earthquake, flash flood, and now the oldest person dies. Coincidence? I think not.

Yes, I do. His mother has caused me ungodly amounts of physical, mental, professional and last but certainly not least, financial pain, agony, suffering and remorse.

But I do love him. :) No more though. If I want company, I'll buy a puppy; it's much cheaper.

"Even when she was over 100 years, every time we took her out to a restaurant, she always like to have a beer, a small beer, a 7-ounce beer with the food," he said. "That was the first thing she asked for when she got to a restaurant."

Damn, if I lived to be 114.. I would live for another 91 years. That's a bizzare concept.

Would almost get to see the year 2100...

How can people hate kids. When you think about it, how the hell do you think you got here? Cause your parents had to deal with you lol. It doesn't make sense to me to "hate kids.

doesn't it seem that every other week, they're reporting the new world's oldest person has died? does anyone really care? here's the deal: tell me when the oldest person EVER has died, then i might have at least a passing interest. otherwise, centenarians kicking the bucket are as much national news as me going to the can. hmm, speaking of which...
