Saw this before - I was surprised that the Porsche 911 Turbo launched pretty fast (I shouldn't be, because 0-60 is rated at 2.8s) but I expected the (Nissan) GT-R to launch faster.

I wonder how much of this is down to the Tesla being the easiest car to drive. Foot down and off you go, no shifting, no clutch, and theoretically the best traction control.

Also wonder how much of the differences are just down to the launches. How you get off the line is pretty crucial over a 400 meter sprint.

How come no Hellkitten in this shootout? As much as I hate that car it should have been included.

And how come Mercedes gets to name a car GT-R when Nissan already has a GT-R? Christ, Ford threatened to sue Ferrari a bunch of years ago because they named their Formula One contender the F150 and that was a race car that would NEVER be sold to the public. Ferrari caved and changed the name despite Ford not having a leg to stand on legally in that case.

One is "GT-R", other is "GT R"

And while the Nissan would be a hell of a lot of fun, just look at the AMG. Think of all the sounds Mr Regular would use if he ever reviewed it!
