On the other hand, that announcer is the biggest douche I have seen on TV in a long time. Why are you whispering, asshole? And the shell is "beautiful"? Typical latent homosexual gun-nut foaming at the mouth while he fondles a shiny phallus.

oh come on, he puts it on so thick its hilarious. "im a navy seal, so i'm gonna talk in a gravely half whisper as i coo about my weapons"

Ha ha, total coincidence that I 7-upped the previous post. I typed that from the quick box on page 1 :D

It took you four minutes to type out "I'll take 9" ?

And this thread only has one page, are you on dial-up or something?

not all of us are so fancy that we change the default page view settings :p
I'm still rocking the default 20 posts per page  I don't care enough to change it.

Guns like that don't need to exist, and they certainly don't need to be in the hands of backwater.

Though I could see some military use for it. Civilian use? Military use? Yes.

That is a pretty nice shell. I wonder how much each one costs - $5? $10?

You mean the grenade shotgun shell with the pop out fins? I bet it's insanely priced at $500 per round, at least. And I sure wouldn't want to fire one and have it stuck in the chamber or barrel while another one banged into it a few seconds later. That's an explosive round that should be fired sparingly.

I also wouldn't want to fire a bunch of regular shotgun shells in a row after the barrel and the gun heated up a lot. Anyone who has had an automatic heat up and jam can tell you about that. And I certainly wouldn't want to be firing a grenade round when that happened. They would be picking up pieces of you with tweezers and a squeegee after.

And I think the most sane way to use that auto shotgun would be with regular 12 gauge slugs, not birdshot like they used. Birdshot or buckshot would damage the inside of the barrel faster than slugs would in auto mode. And slugs would travel farther and more accurately. Birdshot or buckshot in automatic mode could also bounce off hard surfaces and it would be more likely to ricochet back at the shooter at close range, too.

Overall, this is a limited use tactical weapon. And when a bunch of them randomly jam and blow up while in actual use, you would see just how limited the use would actually be. This is little more than a prototype at this stage. I wouldn't want to fire one and be a beta tester on one now. Maybe in a few years after a few modifications, though. Then you might see them occasionally in use in the military or on swat teams.

who wants to rob a bank when you might end up having to pit your 9mm against that beast?

That's absurd. Bank security guards are armed with something between 9mm and .45 ACP, and most cops are too. This will never (I hope) be a front-line cop weapon.

Don't kid yourself, police department budgets are being rewritten across the land as we speak.

A lot of cops in Florida bought themselves AR-15 rifles because of so many criminals are arming themselves with AK-47.

In todays news, the police killed a would-be bank robber, unfortunately, they also killed,--- the bank.
