enjoy!

Man, this thing would be fun if my case had a window... :D

[edit] to give proper credit, I snagged the link off of Maximum Reboot.

OMG!
I remember In Scientific American (possibly) I saw a writeup of a pyramid shaped experimental LED. I'm sure it holds titleas the brightest. :Q
I want one, anyway. Blind some friends with it. SWEET.

LMAO, that LED is wrong, wrong I tell you. The other half will never allow that in the house. I should order 2 anyhow. That would look wicked inside of a modded monitor, coming out the vents on top shining on a wall.:Q

If this was wired as a strobe you could probably kill people with it ;)

You got to love it when someone figures out how to require a heatsink on something...........:D

Holy crap....that's nuts. I wonder when LED technology will be able to take over things like maybe car headlights - anything that uses DC and needs a lot of light.

LEDtronics. Click the "Automotive..." section. :) They don't have front headlights yet, but I've noticed more and more delivery trucks with rear LED brake lights. Even if one burns out (highly unlikely), the rest still work.

Yeah, I've noticed them too in some trucks. I think MaximumPC reviewed an LED light thing for laptops - I think they said it was rated for 100,000 hours. Lots of traffic lights out here are using LED's too now.

man, I'm seriously wondering if I can hook a few of these up to the 5fame.com flasher kit and put those inside my case so I can see em through the clear fans.
