India being bombed on the train, Iran is seeking nukes to eliminate Israel, North Korea testing missiles, The War in Iraq, Japan is considering arming up to defend it's self (first time in 60 years), US political/diplomatic (not trade) relations with China slowly sinking.. Do you believe World War III could be looming on the horizon? Is 2001-2006 the WWII equivalent of the early 1930's leading up to a great confilct in 10 years or so?

Tell me what you think about these unsure times we live in.

Personally, I think its very possible. Anyone who says its not is an idiot. Just because something hasnt happened doesnt mean it might not. I'm just saying that anything is possible.

I don't think it's likely. The world is a different place today. Everybody's got nukes; the world is a much smaller place now, everyone's doing business with everyone else, a major war would screw up everybody. And I really hope we have learned from the horrors of the previous world wars. I don't even want to consider the possibility of a WW3. Another war like that would prove us to be a hopeless race.

:) Since the North Korea missile test, Bomb shelters have been selling like hotcakes in Japan. It's certainly worth considering investing in. Even if you do not belive there will ever be a WWIII they still make for great hurricane shelters and provide protection from tornados.

Right now I'm more concerned with immediate expansion of war in the Middle East. Israel just bombed the airport in Lebonon's capital, Beirut. Will the Arab world stand by if Lebanon is occupied?

With North Korean government bodyguards being what they are (we've seen the footage), I think it's all going to come down to one man storming North Korea and winning the war for us. It'll be like Contra, or Doom.

Ask Robert Plant.

Kashmir sits between India and Pakastan. Pakastan neighbors Afghanistan.

Kashmir has been a long disputed territory (60+ years) between India and Pakastan. Both nations claim it to be theirs and it is the reason for both nations working on their nuclear arsenal.

So glad I'm on the west coast. NK obvious don't have the technology or resources to produce ICBM that can reach the west coast.

If the Arabic countries go all out on Israel this time, I wonder if they can defend and destroy the enemies like they did last time.

Ps. I see dead people.

It's supposed to be a very beautiful place and so the answer is just the land, that's about it. Oh, that, and each side having a big ego and getting too far into politics.

You're an alarmist if you believe it and naive if you don't. The problem is, humans are drawn to conflict and we're a self destructive race. I won't make pretensions at when the next will occur or the circumstances surrounding it, but the odds are that most of us will live to see it one way or the other. Can you think of anyone in particular that actually desires this? Yet inevitably due to circumstances beyond the normal guy's control it will happen. Sort of chills the blood, doesn't it?

They won't. Arab countries know that an outright move against Israel will result in a massive US response. Most likely they will stick with their chicken sh1t terrorist bombs, as that is what has worked in the past.

What if NK invades Japan, China invades Taiwan, Mexico invades Canada, and Arab countries invade Israel. Will US have enough forces to respond to all the warzones? Or will US just nuke everybody w/ ICBMs?
