Interesting. At first I thought it was kind of ugly, but hearing the designer talk about it, I've reconsidered.

I hate the name. It's just too much. And the arrogance of the height (ie:making it the tallest building, not that it is the year of Independance). It's totally unnecessary IMO.

Being the wacky leftist pinko that I am, I really like the idea of wind turbines at the top. The fact that they should be able to generate 20% of the power the building requires to run is rather impressive.

I dunno. On the name issue, yeah it's a little much, but over 3000 people died, so you gotta give 'em some leeway- artistic vision and all that.

As for the tower height, you have to remember the antennas on it will serve millions of customers, so it makes sense from just a logistical standpoint.
