Back when I worked at an Isuzu dealer, we had a customer with an Isuzu Rodeo that was only 4 years old; but he had racked up 270,000 miles in that time. I thought that was impressive, but looking back it was sad. Poor guy spent every waking hour on the road. He was a salesman for some company and was just driving EVERYWHERE and for long distances.

I dunno, my father does something similar and loves it. He bought his '04 Pilot new in early '05 and has over 150,000 miles on it already, but even with all that time on the road his job means that he can schedule his meetings on his own time and work largely out of the house. Being on the road 3-4 days a week is offset by being able to have 3- and 4-day weekends and being able to take time off pretty much whenever he wants.

It's not for everyone, but it can be a great job if it suits your personality.

193,000 Miles on the '96 Accord and counting...still runs great, although the slushbox's shifts are becoming a little more noticeable now with the high mileage.
