I wonder what the approximations for the maximum capacity are. Worldwide, or in the U.S. alone. I thought I heard it was 5 billion for the U.S.

With the US's consumption rate if the population was 5 billion consuming like it does now the atmosphere would melt in 6 months!

I saw somewhere that the U.S. has 2% of the population but consumes 30% of the worlds resourses. Even though I'm from Canada we should be included in there. maybe like 3% of population consumes 35% of the worlds resources. But the population seems to be getting out of hand (literally) :)
