I am stuck at work til 6pm and can't wait to hop on WoW so the next best thing is to talk about it. Our network proxy blocks all gaming sites so I'm hosed...help me get my fix.

What's your biggest cash cow so far?
What Class level/trades are you etc?
What do you think of the new honor system for PVP and how much raiding it has started? Tauren Mill and Crossroads are ALWAYS being raided by the alliance ever since.

For me so far I am taking a stack of 20 rugged leather and making 4 Rugged Armor upgrade kits and selling them for 3.5G in AH. Seems to always sell within an hour or two.

I'm playing a 56 Lev Tauren Hunter that hit Seargent last Tues. from PVP kills on Gilneas.

i thought this was goin to be like an AA meeting...
:: Stands up ::
My name is Qwest and I have a WOW problem.

With 52,000+ posts I don't think you do much of anything other than post here! LOL!!!

Mods can you please move this post for me? These guys aren't helping me get my "fix" at all hehehehe!

got 3 characters, lvl 60 troll rogue, lvl 42 undead priest, lvl 41 undead mage. that's pretty much it. they all have different crafting skills.

-ebay 😛 jk. most of my cash comes from selling herbs and overpriced greens/blues.
-Rogue, level 37. I currently have alchemy at 225-ish and herbalism at 250. I've been giving thought to dropping alch for skinning, though.
-I'm on a PvE server, so it hasn't had much effect. there are always TM raids going on, but they're not so large as to give me any serious lag. I haven't been lag-dropped since I had the misfortune of logging into IF in the midst of a huge raid on the city.

1) Biggest cash cow was buying low & selling high. I had means of transferring from horde to alliance and vice versa, so could play the market that way; many things sell better on the alliance side, and some sell better on the horde side. I generally found that I could buy blues/purples on horde, transfer them to the alliance and make a killing, due to a few reasons; they have more players, hence more cash, hence a healthier economy, and they are in general less mature, hence more likely to buy gold from ebay and other such sites, and pay too much for things since they don't understand its true value. I would recompense my horde side bank by having a 60 main on that side to farm and by buying caster-friendly mail gear on alliance for cheap, since they don't have any mail-wearing casters, and selling it for far more on the horde side to shamans. "of the eagle" greens worked well, high bergg helms, turtle scale gear and blue dragonscale gear and stonerender gauntlets did good as well.
2) 60 shaman main, 43 rogue alt w/ mount on alliance side, 27 hunter alt, also alliance
3) I cancelled my account due to PvPatch 1.4. I chose a PvE server because that's what appeals to me; I find PvP boring and unrewarding. Unfortunately, after the patch it's all anyone wanted to do, and I have reason to believe it will remain this way or get worse; the current implementation means you have to continue to PvP to retain your rank and your ability to wear the PvP-specific gear, some of which is very nice and far better than you can get via PvE gameplay, and of course, Battlegrounds is just around the corner.

1) Now that is underhanded but very creative! We had one guy in our guild that bought 600G on ebay and bragged about it. (He became very popular in our guild swiftly....not!) Then he was sending emails to each guild member telling us he created a guild on the Alliance side and we should dump this guild and join that one. He was quickly booted from our guild. Then we thought how is he going to get this 600g to his alliance chars....well I guess he logged in with an alliance char and placed some nothing item in the Gadgetzan AH at a starting bid of 600g and logged in with his Horde char and paid for the auction. Your method sounds very similar.
3) I think that you may have been a little too swift. I'm sure Blizzard will tweak it somehow to make it acceptable but not the only thing worth doing. It'll pass. Right now XRoads and TM are ridiculous places. If you don't have a decent system stay away from those areas or the PVPing going on will bring most systems to their knees.

I hope that they come up with a better PVP system.

I Just got my mount and the game is so much more fun. Traveling is not as much a pain anymore.

Level 40 Troll Mage (bronzebeard). I'll start PVPing when I hit around 45 or so.

I need more gold now...I should drop tailoring and pick up something else.

You can't bid on auctions placed by any character on your account. Personally I used a close friend's account. Further you don't want to transfer money directly this way, or sell to yourself for more than 1sp (the minimum auction amount), as the Gadgetzan AH takes not 5% of each successful sale, like the Orgrimmar and Ironforge ones, but 15%.

if you don't like the pvp, then don't take part...has nothing to do with any other part of the game, period...saying you quit because of that is lame...

the battlegrounds are instanced areas for pvp play, and the majority of people who are at T.Mill and Xroads for PvP points are going to be in the battlegrounds.

It's ok in the game to pull that AH stuff using the Gadget AH? That isn't breaking some Blizzard rule, is it?

Problem is that most people on my PvE server did like PvP, and so weren't available for raids & groups. While people should certainly be able to play the game as they see fit, Blizzard made PvP far too rewarding for a PvE server, and should have PvE-only server(s). Enough people expressed interest in it for it to be a good idea when I asked friends, guild, general chat and the official boards; but we're a minority, and spread too thin on regular servers to be able to gather enough for raids.

Only thing lame is... calling people lame 😛 Namecalling makes for a weak argument bud.

Oh and while I doubt playing the AHs as I described is against any rules, even if it were it'd be awfully tough to prove.

You look good in high-res, you've got uber chat skills, won't you grind with me... endlessly! Tanking mobs is my role, I maintain aggro. World of Warcraft is a feeling... who needs a social life? I can't wait to log in... and hop on a gryphon!
