now if i got the install CD's from my friend, and buy a "60 day pass card" from newegg, am i able to create a new account as if i bought a full box version of WoW? or is it only an extension?

i have friend in the US i want to play with

You have to buy your own, you can't just get the CD's from someone. Starting an account requires a cd-key which can only be used once.

You can play with your friend's 10 day trial, but as far as an actual account, sorry man.

This is vivendi your talking about, the people that forced valve to have a CD check with a steam game:confused: (retail version of HL2)

your going to have to buy it to get the cd key. but at least they let you play it without the cd in the drive.
