Yes, they could police online forums putting down those they deem nerdier than themselves.

I dunno
what speed is its processor?
We used to use one of the old mac power books with a 466 or something and radeon 7000 (?) to play wow... heh

edit: and it only has 256mb of ram

Though, given the fact that the iPhone will probably sell hundreds of millions of units worldwide, I wouldn't be surprised to see a streamlined lite WoW client that gave you
full access to the game, just with basic graphics.

If I ever were to see someone playing WoW on an iPhone in an airport, I would be morally obligated to yank the device from their hands and throw it as far as I could. For their own good, of course.

Yes, however, i seriously doubt the iphone has the necessary memory badwidth (or even amount in this case) for a 3d application.

Yeah, no idea, what is the GPU in that thing? Some of these things are getting upto some pretty decent graphics capabilities and with that small screeen it doesnt need to push a lot of pixels.

Be interesting if it could be done, that is for sure.

It's running OSX (or a derivative of) which in itself is a 3D application. It has to have some sort of graphical prowess to do all of that. I doubt it's enough to run WoW, but running 3D apps is no problem for even older phones. Hell my 2003 windows smartphone could run doom and duke nukem well with sound, so I wouldn't put it past the iphone to run better stuff. Wow isn't scalable enough to run on such low end stuff IMO, but it's probably not too far off.

I saw a video of a guy playing wow on a small pc with windows xp that was basically about the size of an iphone

I dunno guys, like I said we used to use the mac client on a 466 g3 macbook with osx and 256mb of ram, and it ran fine so until I see what gfx/cpu the iphone has I'll wait to call shes..
