I had crashes with my 8800 with every driver till the 97.95. now using the 158 beta and still no crashes in WoW. The CP does crash alot tho messing with things.

I stopped using the CP a while ago, and switched to nHancer. It's more straight forward than the CP for setting up profiles and it doesn't lose my profile settings like the CP did occasionally.

I have heard of nHancer never tried it, is there an actual way to remove the CP?

It might be possible if you run the driver executable up until the point where it unpacks the driver in the C:\NIVIDIA directory, and then install the drivers the 'old fashioned' way through the Device Manager. I've never tried this before, but it might work.

Bah no need to do that I guess, I installed it with the CP still in and it seems to be fine, WoW even seems to run smoother now.
