You can still use the $5 discount from the Gamers gift card btw. I just did on the $40 version yesterday.

I bought BC, installed it and logged in with my old character.

I stood there in Ironforge, listened to the juvenile banter for a few minutes, and felt really embarrassed and stupid.

It was a little like an alcoholic going into a bar after a year of being dry--

APCFreak

P.S. on the bright side, the queque for Agrammar was only 390.

The queue for Cenarion Circle was at 970 last night after I got the game installed. I basically left it in queue and watched the premier of American Idol till I was able to log in.

Anyone who pays that much more for a "collector's edition" for a videogame is a fool.

I have never played the game, people can do with their own money what they want.

some people don't mind paying 30 more for a dvd copy, map, soundtrack cd, mousepad, hardback artbook, a making dvd, 2 packs of the trading card game, and most importantly a in-game dragon pet. :)

They should allow the dragon pet to be transferable in game. Kinda like how Everquest 2 allowed bonus pets to be transferable in game. Really caused the economy to go nuts.

Have you seen the collector's edition or are you just trolling? Of the many objections to WoW, TBC, etc... I don't think there is a question you get your money's worth when getting a CE.

Even a post saying "Yea, but I would never pay to play a game" as stupid as that would have been would have had more merit then what you posted.

The CE comes with
o World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade on both CD and DVD
o World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Behind-the-Scenes DVD
o The Art of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Hardcover Art Book
o Exclusive In-Game Pet: Netherwhelp
o Two World of Warcraft Trading Card Game Starter Packs, plus Exclusive Cards
o Map of Outland Mouse Pad
o World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Soundtrack CD

the artbook alone is worth the cost, two wow starter decks (14.99 a pop retail), etc... all in a really nice package.

Hmm..what time did you order? Still nothing here. If I don't get it, then no biggie. I already activated a regular copy of BC yesterday. I just wanted this to collect since Blizzard always has good stuff included.

As I said, a ripoff. $70 for an expansion pack? The actual expansion itself is a rip at 50!

An in game pet that does nothing.
If you play the wow card game you need to seek out your nearest mental health physician.
A soundtrack of a MMO game? Huh?
A mouse pad(cause everyone needs one of these!)
Both cd and dvd? How many ways do you need to install it? You don't need the cds/dvds after you install them!

They are all gimmicky garbage. IMO.

wow, an expansion is $50?

i guess this is the first expansion for the game in 2.5 years, so it's not more expensive than the $20 yearly expansions i've dealt with prior.
