Greetings,

This email is to let you know that (Name Removed) has requested to sign you up for the World of Warcraft beta test. You are now on a waiting list to be added to the beta. Once we are able to add additional people to the test, we will send you a new email with instructions on how to create your account, download, and play. Until that time, please be patient and do not contact Blizzard employees for a status update. They do not have this information.

Thanks for your interest in helping us beta test World of Warcraft. We look forward to adding you to the beta and seeing you in Azeroth as soon as possible!

Sincerely,

Blizzard Entertainment

The WoW stress test rules. Sure its laggy at times but what do you expect? Its a stress test, not retail.

You obviously arent in the Beta. I got in at B3, and lets just say that for a beta game, it's more stable than most retail games out there. I've had it crash once.

I've had pretty minimal problems with the beta (and even the alpha). Blizzard's certainly better about supporting their stuff than other game companies.

edit: appantly, i'm on the "stress test" program. Here's the email:

Congratulations! You have been selected to participate in the World of Warcraft? stress test beta!

Please note that the account you create for the World of Warcraft stress test beta is only valid for the duration of the stress test. At the conclusion of the stress test on September 12, your World of Warcraft stress test beta account will be deactivated.

To create your account, please go to the IP address listed below. You will need the Authentication Code provided and the email address you used to sign up for the beta (which is the same one that you just received this email at).

Once you have created your stress test account you may download the game. Just go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and enter your login and password you used when creating your account. Once logged into the site, choose the ?Download WoW? link to begin your download. If you have any problems please contact wowtech@blizzard.com.

While downloading, feel free to stop by our World of Warcraft Beta Community Site (www.worldofwarcraft.com) to say hi!

Stress testers can read, but cannot post, on the normal World of Warcraft Beta forums. You can discuss the game with other stress testers at the Stress Test Beta Forum:

The stress test beta is completely separate from the closed beta test and is taking place on different servers from the ones on which the stress test beta will be conducted. Participation in the stress test beta does not disqualify you from being able to participate in the closed beta test at a later date, nor does it disqualify you from participating in the open beta test, which Blizzard plans to conduct later in the year.

Thanks for participating in the World of Warcraft stress test beta; we?ll see you soon in Azeroth!
