i haven't played for months either but i just get tired of seeing the same exact comments in EVERY thread about WoW.

$10 + 20-40 for the expansion when you hit lvl60. :)

or buy the expansion right from the get go if you want a draenei or blood elf character. :)

Leveling is very easy in WOW. Can solo very easily all the way to 70. You don't have to raid to get pretty decent gear either which is a plus. If you play a hunter or warlock, leveling is even easier. If you have kids or a social life this is a game that is easy to play here and there.

Thanks for the post OP, I can now get my buddy addicted. As far as michaels comments goes, I think we need to take a chill pill. I've been playing WoW since Beta and bought it the first day on my way to work, and I thought his comment was kinda funny.

I will tell you how easy is to get to level 1 - level 60 with just original WoW. About 15 full 24 days of in game play for a casual guy, it can be cut short if all you do is grind to power level, however.

I am going to have my first level 70 character, it's currently at level 51...

WoW is a great way to kill time. I played it for a few months and was a little bored. It does get repetitive and I wasn't playing enough that I felt I was getting my $15/mo worth. If I had a couple hours every other day or so, I'd sign back up.

the idea that someone pulls up thread crapping to this first response is a joke. This is the internet, everyone should have their own opinion as long as its based on experience or general sentiment, I see too many negative opinions getting deleted or flamed here too often. I love wow, and its cool that it is $10 but if someone wants to come along and say that the game sucks so fricken what. Actually good I say, maybe their influence will mean that the person who might pick it up realizes that this isnt for everyone, nor is it unanimously the greatest thing ever...I need another keystone Ice..******.

Life after WoW, I quit it too, but lately I have some free time and have been thinking of going back and rolling a new char i havent really played much (lock or shaman 4 me). But is this 'Lotr' good? I can seem to find a game that keeps my attention lately.

I tried LOTR for the free 10 days. The graphics were quite good and it ran well on my old computer. Worth playing for 10 days for free. Try not to die at all and you get cool titles a level 5 - 10 - 14. You can only level to 15 for the free trial but you can get a good idea of the game from those levels. I might try it again when they flesh it out.

I am thinking of trying EQ2 out on my new gaming PC I just purchased a week ago. My 8800 card is saying "Give me a real test" because I play wow at the moment.
