World Of Warcraft 10 Day Preview CD-Key

Ok, so I opened my box up and I see this free 10 day preview CD key. So, my question is, to squeeze the most out of the game, can I install, use the 10 day preview key, then switch over to my regular key at the end of the trial period? Thus, I don't waste 10 days worth of playing and leveling and what not.

Haha, that's the exact reason I can't find anything to do with it. Half my friends either aren't into MMORPG's and the other half either don't want to get addicted mid-semester or have it already.

Anybody want to trade me for it?

I don't *think* you can do this. I think that when you sign up with the 10-day pass, you basically create a temp account with it, that expires after 10 days. I'm not sure if you can *upgrade* it with a real Key before it runs out. But I'm not exactly sure about that.

You can upgrade it with a real key. I played the ten day pass that came with my wife's copy, then purchased my own and upgraded to a regular account. Didn't even need the new CD's.

However, I don't know if the temp pass is somehow linked to the real key it's boxed with to prevent people from doing what OP describes.
