Hey guys,

I've noticed a lot of WoW interest on this board and thought we could start a free trial guest pass thread. Basically registered WoW users have guest passes to allow new people to try out WoW for 10 days, if the user joins the referrer gets a month of WoW free. I thought we could all post our keys here and let people try the game out and if they like it we get free months :).

Here are the instructions followed by the keys I have available. If you use a key please PM to let the poster know so he can remove it.

Thanks and hope to see ya in the game!

Here's how the Free Trial works:
1. Download the game free at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com...owclient-download.html For information about the trial version, click here.
2. Enter the special Guest Pass Key below when prompted during the installation process (the Key can only be used once).
3. You will have 10 days of free access to World of Warcraft!
Limitations:
The following restrictions are placed on all trial accounts:
A level cap of 20.
A maximum of 10 gold.
Trade skills are capped at 100 ranks.
Inability to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player-to-player.
In-game chat channels will be unavailable.
A limit on the number of tells that can be sent.
Realms with login queues will give priority to customers with retail accounts.
These restrictions are only in place during the trial period. Players who decide to upgrade their accounts will be able to continue adventuring with the same characters and take full advantage of all features included in the retail version of the game.

hehe, I had forgotten my password after I went to college so I just used to read the boards without posting for a while. I recently just got back into wanting to build a computer after about 6 years of my last custom built PC so I had to guess my old PW and jump back in. :)

Yes, you do get to keep your character.

I have 5 guest Key passes, if anyone wants one or knows a friend that might want one, please PM me.

Do you know if you start the trial, then upgrade to retail before your 10 days are up if it just adds 30 days..or replaces the trial?

I believe it replaces the trial because the trials have a 20 level limit, etc. I am not 100% sure on this though, it might not and just remove the level limit.

Bump to let people know that they now have 10-Day free trials for people who have previously quit WoW, they are Burning Crusade enabled so it lets you try it out if you quit at 60. It's at www.worldofwarcraft. Have fun!

Those are some heavy restrictions. Though, I do suppose it combats gold spammers by not allowing access to the auction house, chat channels and limiting their tells.

I usually check the WoW status page and will remove a key from here if it is used.

I was pretty open about this in my original post...

The whole point of this thread is so other people who play WoW here can refer people and receive a free month and let other members try the game out. I don't understand all the thread crapping going on here, I explained everything honestly in the original post. If you want to try the game, why not let other members receive a free month for it?

Yep, if you are going to give away free trials like candy, you have to have these restrictions.
