#1. I think you're exaggerating about them not being able to duo.
#2. We're discussing PvP as much as PvE.....how do the locks do in sparring if you've tried that out and what tactics did they use to win if they did?

#1 - No I am not kidding about us having some warlocks that can solo stuff that a warrior and mage (?) couldn't duo. I am not talking about everything under the sun, just apparantly some MoBs out there somewhere. I am comfortable it is not a compotency issue, we were a top 50 (34 according to one site that was tracking EQ progress) serverwide guild in EQ; we know how to play the game.
#2 - I don't know too much about the PvP aspect of the warlock. We play on a PvE server so perhaps even the tactics employed by the warlocks in my guild may differ than those tactics on a PvP server. I really dont' know.

Warrior and mage is not a great duo. A warlock has methods of healing both himself and his pet. Warrior and mage have no real healing abilities.

Both forms of healing require drawing major agro which means death to a cloth wearing warlock.

Hardly. I have seen first hand that it does not draw enough aggro to be a huge danger as long as you are using a voidwalker as your tank. In fact, as a 28 paladin, with a 28 warlock, we duod morbent fel by doing nothing but swinging once in a while, him healing his voidwalker AND sucking life from morbent fel, and me healing him, with the voidwalker almost never losing aggro.

If it is any different when it comes to tactics, all of the people involved with my example are level 60. There probably is nothing under level 50 (?) that people would not be able to duo - within reasonable levels and non-Elite.

Paladins have to be the least fun class to play. The shear amount of time it takes to kill anything once you start getting 40+ really takes a toll on wanting to be one.
