Not to offend anyone or anything, but does anyone besides me have this feeling that 'world news' on abc7 isn't really 'world news'?
The reason I say this is - tonite : some stuff on afghanistan, breaking new ground in oklahoma near the federal building, bad retirement, 401k plans, some new jersey teacher strike, some medical info, and lastly a 30 second blurp on argentina's ailing economy.
I noticed that before afghanistan, it was worse, nearly every single piece of news on 'world news' took place in the united states, with some exceptions. I dont mean to bash or anything, but to me this doesn't really qualify as umm 'world news' , unless of course you consider the world to be the US. :D

That is exactly why I watch BBC World news.

It's much less biased. You should be able to get it if you have digital cable or satellite.

My aunt and her husband and a bunch of their kids had lived in the US for the past 5-7 years or so, they got back this year. They are just amazed how little the media in the US talks about the World compared to how it is here.

Quote of peter jennings tonite : "Thats world news for tonight. Tomorrow on World News - the coast guard revives an old tradition"

Hehe :p Sorry, but does ABC pass it off as 'world news' just because it happens in the US (which I concede is somewhere in the world) , and its news?
