World in Conflict System Performance

Hi Guys,

I've been reading up on a lot of different system reactions to WiC based on different specs, and I was wondering what you guys thought on how the game would run on the following system:

-- 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
-- 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
-- ATI x1600 256mb

What resolution and game settings do you feel would be best to play on?

The game uses the cpu for physics quite a bit.
I really didn't see much difference between high and low settings , and on low physics I gained quite a few fps.
Try the demo and use the benchmark function in the menus.

1024x768 if that. The game is very demanding.

Shit, while we're on this topic... I just downloaded the demo and am running the benchmark thing in settings right now. Looks like I'm not doing so well. Where do you think my biggest bottleneck is?

AMD Opteron 165
2x1gb PC3200 2-3-2-5
ATI X1800xt 256
Raptor 74gb

Guess it doesn't help with my 24" monitor at 1920x1200

As others have said, replace your video card. Even the GeForce 8600GT is much better than the X1600, and I don't get the most spectacular framerates in WiC in Vista using DX9 (DX10 is nearly unplayable).
