Its kinda hard to see Honduras there and not Trinidad and Tobago. Good for them. Then again, Costa Rica is not there.

US in a decent group. That opening match with England will be a tough one...

USA will be out in Round 1. Because we are teh fail. :D

But seriously, I really hope we push on and can stick around for awhile.
I don't watch soccer much but I love the sport and I tend to watch it whenever USA is playing.

Did they settle that handball in the france game and let both teams in? There was talk of them doing that a few days ago. Love me some world cup.

It's great to see Honduras in there (My significant other is from there).

And since my dad is German it's good to see them in a cupcake group.

There is no group of death this year. It might have been F if Portugal had beend drawn

The US should go through their group pretty easily. Slovenia and Algeria are pretty bad, and it's two through from every group.

I don't put em past the round of sixteen though. They'll likely have to play Germany.

For sure. Makes me sad for Honduras.

Trust me - They're happy just to be on the world stage. And if lightning strikes they can pull a surprise.

Throw away the Spain game - They have a shot a points against Chile and Switzerland.
I've seen almost every game they've played the last 2 years.

If we play England, then it's us or England. If we play Slovenia or Algeria, we have a better shot and making it alongside England.
Have the announced the match ups yet, or only the groups?

edit: we play England [first]
Group Match Schedule
I barely know how the World Cup actually works... does every team automatically play the three other teams in their Group, and it is just the two teams with the best record move on to Stage 2?

Um you gotta pick two per group. Anyways, I don't think either Koreas are gonna win a single match. USA has a shot! Group G is insane! I hope ivory coast can make it out b/c Drgba is the man.

The US plays England first, the group stages are not one and done. You play all the teams in your group and the two teams with the most points move on to the group of sixteen.

It is a round-robin in the first leg, which means the match ups are known based on the group. You play 3 games in the round-robin, one against each team in the group. Which means USA will play England and likely lose, but hopefully beat Solvenia and Algeria.

Doubt it, the other three teams in the group are pretty damn good.

It is the group of death. Easily.

I think North Korea is included in the Group of Death based on factors entirely beyond the realm of soccer :p
