World according to Porschephiles changes with debut of Cayenne SUV

jesus that's ugly in the front. The back doesn't look so bad, kinda x5-ish. It's still a porsche, and if given one, I'd cream my pants. But if I had about 55k to drop on a car, That wouldn't be near the top of the list.

Am I the only one saying sports cars and SUVs belong on opposite sides of the automobile spectrum? Porsche SUV = Oxymoron :disgust:

This, more than any concrete reason, is why I object to the Cayenne. I just flat out don't think Porsche belongs in the SUV business, and it saddens me that the SUV market has become so lucrative that even a company with Porsche's rich racing/sports car heritage cannot resist sticking a finger in the pie. I imagine history will look on the Cayenne the way it has the 928 - not favorably.

Sporting-oriented SUV? What's next, Porsche's sporting-oriented shopping chart with Alloy wheels and big Porsche badge in front? Or a tractor? IMO, this car is dumb and pointless, good only for "adding 2 inches to your u-know-what" (very widely-spread spam mail).
