Workstation users: I need opinion if I should get a HP z1 workstation or not

hi all,
I got a very tempting offer for a nice HP Z1 setup but I have a few doubts about it, if I can clear them out I will get it.

gonna keep it short and get to my questions:

I am not gonna edit video or do such things, I will just use autocad and 3dsmax and I'll mostly do cpu renderings. since this thing is almost fit to be in a monitor panel, I have serious doubts about the cooling. if I'm going to pay big bucks for this machine I certainly don't want it to go bad after a year of heavy use. (this is unfortunately an inevitable fact for such hardware with small fans)
the cooling system very much looks like a laptop cooling system which I am absolutely not comfortable with... I will leave the computer to rendering for long hours (10s of hours) which will need serious cooling...

right now I use a do-it-yourself pc with custom cooling systems for every component, a very good case with good air circulation (antec1200) and everything needed to keep the system down at good temperatures. only problem is the rams. they don't last more than a year. no matter the brand or quality of the components, I need to change all of them because they die every year or so. I replaced the rams twice in 4 years. now I use my third set of rams... I don't even know if this is a normal thing or not but I'm pretty sure it's the heat which is causing it..
would I have the same problem with these ECC rams included in the Z1 build?

third thing is it's a lga 1155 which is a dead technology now so upgrading it in the future looks like an empty dream...
would a normal pc with a lga 2011 socket be better? (which will perform a little bit faster than the Z1 build I'm gonna get)
a little performance difference is not an issue if the thing is gonna remain stable for 3-4 years no matter what because I know from my own experiences that normal pcs do not last that long for stability after years of almost abusive heavy work load (which is the way I must work like...)

I don't play any games. anything that favors gaming is not needed. I just need the raw power as well as stability for long hours-days of use... this is my only concern...

it's hard to get a good workstation in my country so advice on another brand of ws or another model is not needed. if there are Z1 users who read this I only need an answer to get the Z1 or not regarding my concerns..
thanks..

No, that is definitely not normal. I'm willing to bet that you're feeding too much voltage to your DIMMs.

As for the Z1, I would never buy an un-upgradeable machine like an AIO if I planned to keep said machine for 3-4 years.
