workstation can not see .dbf files on server

My XP pro workstation sees files on my server 2003 without the .dbf.
The user has administrator rights. I can see the files on the drive but the .dbf is missing. Does anyone have any ideas on where I might look for a solution?

The files area associated so explorer isn't showing the extension. What exactly is the problem your trying to solve?

Sounds like your share or NTFS permissions are wrong. That has nothing to do with the extension.
