Whenever I sit in front of my computer I notice I start squinting in order to see otherwise my vision becomes blurry. Does this mean I have inadequate lighting around my work area? Would getting a desk lamp or better lighting help me with this problem? I have one light slightly off to my right but it doesn?t shine a whole lot of light over where I?m at. Thanks!

You may not be blinking enough. Try some natural tears eyedrops to see if that clears things up.

I already wear contacts. I just went to an eye doc about two weeks ago and he said my vision is fine.

if its a crt monitor you might want to make sure the refresh rate is set higher then the default 60hz

edited to add:

i know for mer personally anything under 85hz causes me major eye fatigue after about and hour or two

hmm, maybe try turning down the brightness on the monitor (especially if the background of the room is fairly dark)

Its a common issue for you to get blurry and have to blink more to refresh your eyes because you wear contacts.

Ask your eye doctor and he will tell you the same thing.
