Just found out my colleague's wife passed away about an hour ago in the hospital due to some liver conditions or something.... that really really sucks. Also just found out another colleague just took his father to the hospital for an emergency and was supposed to be back soon, but has been gone for a long time. He just left his computer setup open and belongings in the office so it seemed like it was supposed to be only a short thing... what a crappy way to start a weekend.

:( :'(

Maybe you could call your colleague and check up on him and offer to shut down his comp/bring his personal items to him.

The only polite thing to do is lock his workstation so nobody can screw with it.

Wow that really suck.

It's the same thing here, since the start of 2011 there's like 1 person (parents mostly but sometimes it's friends or relatives) dying every 3-4 weeks...

We're downing like flies, it's scary.
