Workout question - Abs

I started adding a 25lb plate to my crunches last night (a good amount of weight considering I'm 5'8" 145lbs).
Today i have a lot of pain in my upper chest, specifically in an incline-fly motion. This morning it was very painful to drive.
Any idea what I did wrong? or is this just an expected extreme soreness?

probably just had a minor heart attack...nothing to worry about.

nah just means you got a good work out...when first started working out my abs, the couple days that followed it felt like I pulled a muscle...like i couldn't stand straight, laugh, cough, etc....it's just like working out for the first time on anything else...it'll be sore 🙂

...I wouldn't worry about it

try not leaving it on your chest and hold it about an inch from your face

just don't drop it on your face.

Sounds like normal soreness you get from modifying your workout to stress those muscles in ways they've not been stressed before. As part of my daily workout I do 30 four-count situps while holding a couple of dumbells (total 22lbs); when I first started, I was sore too.
