Ok, I went on a diet this past winter, between that and power walking I've done really well, the extra weight is gone and I've also added wworking out to my daily routine. Here's the problem though,I've increased my eating but have still lost another 8 pounds over the past month.Greasy food turns my stomach and I get full pretty easy. How can I go about increasing calories without having to eat crap or be constantly eating ? I want to maintane my current weight and not lose anymore while also continuing to increase my exercise level.

I don't know much about nutrition, but I think that eating carbohydrate-rich foods like pastas and bread will help maintain calorie levels. It's always a good idea to stay away from greasy foods like fast food, though. But I'm not an expert - I've had a lot of experience putting on weight, but not maintaining weight. Putting it on is quite easy, IMO. ;)

Hmmm....this is not a question you see very often. ;)

I'm thinking the best way to go about doing this in a health way is to try to sneak extra calorie-dense foods into your daily intake. Like adding raisins or olives to a salad, adding some olive oil to soups or stews, butter on toast, 1% or 2% milk instead of skim if you don't mind the taste (good on cereal), a peanut butter sandwich as a snack....pretty much anything that has some oil in it that isn't animal fat (beef, bacon, and the like) so you're not upping you cholesterol intake too much. This way, you can tack on an extra few hundred calories to your daily intake without eating crap for the most part. Read some labels and see what kinds of things you can find that are calorie-dense without being too unhealthy (ie- cooking with some extra olive oil vs. cooking with lard will both add extra kcal, but the lard is obviously infinitely worse for you). I like to take dried figs on long bike rides with me for this very reason.....lots of easily processed calories in a portable package. :)

Or, you can do what the men do and drink a couple bottles of beer a day.

Good for 300-400 calories :)

baffled2,

goto elitefitness.com and participate in their forums. Those guys are the best out there when it comes to diet/nutrition help. But there is one thing which I hate..........there are just too many different programs/diets/training schedules.........but the key point is STICKING TO A PROGRAM. All of them will give you results provided you follow them correctly. Its just that some of them work better on some people while some dont work very well. Again just no particular reason....just preference and how your body takes it..............honestly losing weight/ or putting muscle or whatever is not EASY at all.........earlier I used to just diet and lose weight and do all the process wrong....after joining elitefitness.com ...i've learnt there are so many factors to be taken in consideration...so much to do....loggin all activities and nutrition everyday..........just go there and you'll know what I am talking abt

Cheers and Good Luck with whatever you end up with
