who else got told to go to work today and finds out you cant do jack because everyone else you work with(clients) are all closed any way. so basically i have to sit here for 8 hours and surf the internet.
I'm working today. In addition to my normal work load, I'm on call - and given that its black friday, that means much closer monitoring of our services.
However, I convinced my boss to let me work from home, so its not all bad.
I know the feeling, but nobody is here and there is no reason for us to be open today. We are here for "agency support", but most agency offices will not be open today (day after a holiday falling on a Friday means not many agents will go "hey lets be open today").
I'm one country north, so we had our Thanksgiving a month ago, but I'm pretty much slacking today. The people I'm waiting on are now bitching back cause they don't like being reminded about the impending deadline, so that leaves me doing redundant stuff. I figure, if I get it done quickly, I'll just get more useless/pointless jobs, so may as well throttle back.
I'm at work. The idea was to get things done while so many people were off. Hasn't been very productive but it beats fighting the traffic today - there is no retail near work. Still, I'd rather be hiking.
